Bob Giordano

Giordano Studios LLC

Bob Giordano was born and raised in New York City. As a
child he spent many days drawing and painting with his father, Joseph Giordano,
founder of Giordano Studios. Time was spent field sketching at New York City's
zoos as well as at the Museum of Natural History. Having this fondness for the
natural world, these venues inspired his love of nature. Whether it was hiking
in the Catskills or venturing the coast of Long Island, he absorbed all that
nature brings. An avid fisherman, he spends many hours out on Long Island Sound
pursuing local fish and wildlife.

Educated as an illustration major at the School of Visual
Arts in New York, he concentrated on Children's Book illustration incorporating
his love of animals into characters that followed along in his storylines.
Influenced by Maurice Sendak, Richard Scarry, Dr. Suess and others, the natural
world transitioned into a bit more fantasy where his illustrations no longer
had to be so portrayal and a hint of the unrealistic could now be applied.

His father Joseph Giordano, an accomplished illustrator and
fine artist were his greatest mentor and muse. He established his art licensing
business in 1980, Bob joined the company in 1984 and has been licensing the
families designs and creating new art in order to expand opportunities to bring
the Giordano look to consumers worldwide. He shares his studio with Coop the
dachshund and Olive a Cairn-Doxie mix, they're never to far from his side and
influence some of the situations that can be seen throughout the company's
portfolio.
